The Friends of the Royal Masonic School (FORMS) is the association of parents and guardians. We are a registered charity and our purpose is to advance the education of pupils at the Royal Masonic School for Girls by providing extra equipment and bursary awards.
We bring together parents and guardians to further the welfare of the girls and work closely with the Headmistress and school staff to ensure our activities and funding awards are aligned with the direction and priorities of the School.
We are responsible each year for hosting a number of events including a Bonfire Night, Christmas Fayre and Summer Fair. In addition, we run the second-hand uniform sales and other fundraising events from Quiz Evenings through to providing refreshments at the school plays and concerts.
Our funds are spent in a variety of ways. In 2009 we paid the first instalment for the purchase of a new minibus for the school. We have in the past supported the school's flagship projects such as helping to furnish the Sixth Form Common Room and investing in Special Educational and Assisted Learning equipment. We also help to make life better for the girls by providing anything from televisions, pool tables, water coolers, Christmas trees and presents for the houses as well as the equipment needed for academic departments ranging from a digital camera for the PE Department, to equipment such as the picnic tables for the Prep Department and the girls' floral tributes for their annual visit to the War Graves.
At the suggestion of the School we have established a capital fund to be a permanent fund to further the charitable purposes of FORMS with the income from that fund being at the disposal of the School.
As fellow parents and guardians we ask you to support FORMS by taking out a life time membership for £25 (this covers both parents or up to two guardians or friends) and by attending the School's events and offering what support you can. All are welcome. Each and every offer of help is gratefully received.
Membership Application forms and Gift Aid forms can be downloaded via the FORMS section of the website.
