We have a large number of girls who regularly take part in Volunteering opportunities in the local community.
The range of volunteering is extremely broad and the school regularly receives positive feedback from organisers and Project Leaders.
Volunteering in the community has really taken off at RMS. We now have a good number of students contributing to local volunteering programmes. The girls are involved in a wide range of activities including caring for babies and toddlers at a local nursery, working in care homes and assisting with outdoor activities such as riding and sailing.
Students take part in local volunteering opportunities as part of The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, but many take up the challenge to enrich their own education and experience. The students are held in high regard by their supervisors and in return they find the experiences extremely rewarding.
Students are helped to find suitable placements by the Volunteering Co-ordinator in school, but they are also encouraged to make their own arrangements, thereby promoting their independence.
Students are asked to see Mrs Isherwood for further information and assistance.
An excellent school, it feels like one big family Parent
