1978 the year we became an open, fee paying school, accepting girls from all backgrounds and all faiths
There is plenty of information contained in these pages, so should you at any time need to talk directly to someone, please do call the Admissions Team on 01923 725354 and they will be delighted to assist you.
We actively encourage applicants from a broad range of backgrounds and we welcome the diversity and enrichment this brings to our community. To ensure that an RMS education is within the grasp of those less able to afford the fees, there are means tested bursaries available - please see the Scholarships and Bursaries section.
We are academically selective but we pride ourselves on the superb results achieved by girls with learning difficulties whom we are happy to accept, provided that our Learning Support Department is confident that RMS can meet the needs of each individual.
A place may be offered when a candidate has completed the entry examination and interview, and references from her previous school have been provided. Academic ability is not, however, the only criterion on which a place is offered. Our selection process is designed to identify pupils who will not only benefit from our balanced and rounded education, but who will also make a positive contribution to school life depending on their individual talents and interests.
Girls with sisters already in the School are given priority at all levels, but a place is not automatic.
Girls wishing to move from Ruspini House to Cadogan House are not guaranteed a place and will be considered for a place as an equal to those applying for the first time at the age of 4. Girls transferring from Cadogan House to Senior School and also from Senior School to Hind House will be guaranteed a place in all but the most exceptional circumstances; a girl will never be asked to leave for academic reasons.
Please note that girls are only placed on the Applicants’ List for Admission on receipt of a completed Registration Form and Registration Fee, which should be sent to the Admissions Manager, Mrs Gail Braiden. A student will then be invited for entrance assessment in the January of the year that she wishes to join the School. The Registration Fee covers administration costs and is not refundable.
Places may be available for entry at other times, and girls will be tested in English, Mathematics and
Non-Verbal Reasoning, and are interviewed by the Head. They may then be invited to spend a full day at RMS to ensure the School is an appropriate choice for them.
In accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act, parents should provide details of any reasonable adjustments that their daughter may require in relation to the entrance examinations.

We are delighted with our daughter's progress at RMS. She has a full range of lovely friends, is stimulated by her lessons and loves all the fun of the extra-curricular activities, particularly the music, dancing, drama and art. Parent
